LOGBOOK

VIKING FJORGYN

On March 25, 2023, I embarked on the Viking Fjorgyn, an elegant ship sailing on the Seine. My three-week journey, with the round trip Paris-Rouen, Rouen-Paris as the itinerary, was a captivating adventure. Each week brought new faces on board, Americans, British, Irish, Canadians, Australians. All were eager to discover the beauty of Paris and to relive the history of the D-Day beaches.

My role was to enhance their journey with my music. From classical to rock, from pop to jazz, and even my own compositions, I delighted the lunches, cocktails, and evenings, including the captain’s dinners and those of his officers. I was their dedicated pianist, creating unforgettable moments.

But this journey was not just about music; it was a cultural exploration. The passengers, mostly elderly, shared their stories, creating a deep connection with me. Among the multicultural crew, I perfected my English and broadened my horizons.

VIKING SKAGA

After this first three-week cruise, I was called back for more adventures. Three weeks later, on May 4, 2023, I embarked on the Viking Skaga, ready to add new notes to my life’s score. This chapter would last only a week, but was just as intense.

VIKING HERMOD

On July 23, 2023, I embarked on a new adventure on the Rhône, aboard the Viking Hermod. I explored Lyon, Avignon, and Arles during two weeks of summer. The atmosphere was warm, with the southern sun bringing joy and conviviality.

With passengers from all over the world, each stop revealed new emotions and sources of inspiration. With my piano, I became the master of ceremonies of discovery, sharing moments of happiness with passengers and crew.

TO BE CONTINUED

A month later, I returned to the Seine, to reunite with my old friend: the Viking Skaga, for a new stage of my musical journey. The life of an artist was my solace, my source of progress, and my way of creating unforgettable memories.

These cruises were not just musical opportunities, but invaluable learning experiences, memorable encounters, and endless inspiration. Each melody I composed carried within it the memories and emotions of these journeys.
